This year SWFF10 added a screenwriting competition which brought in over 50 entries. Pre-screening judges, given ‘blind’ copies of the scripts with no author or school information, selected 10 semi-finalists. Their scripts were then judged by our final jury, comprised of a producer and three professional screenwriters. These final four judges have graciously offered to meet individually with each of the 10 semi-finalists to discuss their screenplay.

Our final jury chose a first-place and two runners-up.  As part of the festival events these scripts receive a virtual staged reading with professional actors, Staged by A. Dean Bell, produced by Leslieann Flores.
