TEACHING THE CINEMATIC ARTS - April 11, 2014
We are inviting faculty/staff to come and participate in a discussion on teaching the cinematic arts. It is an opportunity to engage with SUNY colleagues, build working relationships and address mutual challenges that we encounter.
We want to focus on two key components during this workshop.
Projects: Come share your successful (and unsuccessful) class assignments. How do you engage students? How do you teach beyond the hardware/software?
Technology: SD/HD/4K, 16mm/35mm: Where are we going and is this destination driven by industry, pedagogy or something else? How are you integrating new technology into the curriculum? What are your best practices when it comes to digital labs?
Faculty/Staff interested in contributing or presenting brief responses to any of the proposed questions please contact Phil Hastings: hastings(at)fredonia.edu
